Each enemy is distinct and instantly identifiable in the top-down view of the world Ape Out presents. Everything from scientists with pistols, to automatic weapon toting guards, bulky shotgun wielding bad guys, flamethrower firing douchebags, rocket launching military men, kamikaze cowards, and more will have you reassessing your strategy each time you encounter a new enemy type.

In the debate over whether or not video games should be considered art, GRIS is the type of game that should be at the forefront of the argument. Developer Nomada Studio have crafted a title that emulates art in ways that we haven't seen before. It goes much deeper than the beautiful hand-drawn and watercolor graphical style. This is a game where things like the meaning, story details, setting, and more are up for interpretation to the player - much like an obscure painting hanging on a wall. What GRIS demonstrates is that there is beauty in ambiguity, and solace in solitude.
Everybody knows Tetris is one of the greatest and most important video games to be created. Since its original inception on the Electronika 60, Tetris has been rereleased and iterated on time and time again, capturing the minds of hundreds of millions of players along the way. It's more than just a landmark of gaming, but also world culture. Tetris has a way of working in to your mind and leaving a lasting impression, one that might even show up in your dreams or how you see the world. This phenomenon was named "The Tetris Effect" and is at the core of the aptly named Tetris Effect.
